Okay, finally pulling through with my promise to draw the progression of Doki and Nabi's relationship though the steps.
I tried to put a little symbolism in this with the background color. As most people will agree, green is the color of spring and new beginnings. It also seems to be the color of hope in this series (though I could just be reading into things). I made it scribbily and haphazard to express the fun, silliness of the first step. Obviously, in the first step we didn't even know Doki and Nabi's names and their relationship was pretty simple: random bunny girl becomes utterly smitten with random cat boy, and he wants nothing to do with this craziness. Finally by the end of the step, Nabi caves in and reluctantly accepts Doki's presence. He still mostly thinks of her as some crazy chick that's complicating his life, but he might have some slight affections for her as shown by a small heart at the end of the flash. If these feelings do exist, however, he's denying them vehemently. I'll continue to slowly add to this series. Don't expect a whole lot real soon, though. Step 2: [link] |

Symbolism is a very important thing in the series, and your explanation of the color makes sense. And why not look deep into it? There's so much you can learn about a story if you observe the minute details, especially when one element isn't present. (In this case, actual dialog)
I'll be awaiting for the cake! (who doesn't like cake?)
